  • Database Administrator

    overview

    The Database Administrator is responsible for all phases of database administration on all environments, with emphasis on performance troubleshooting, analytical problem solving and business customer support. The Database Administrator works in tandem with our development team to ensure the operational delivery and the scalability of etailz's systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Configure and monitor a variety of MySQL instances
    • Automate routine tasks through scripting and tools
    • Study the database needs of our systems and optimize where needed
    • Re-architect existing databases to improve scalability and structure
    • Work with the development team to troubleshoot and optimize queries and performance bottlenecks
    • Have an expert knowledge of InnoDB internals and tuning
    • Exhibit knowledge of SQL, relational database design and concepts
    • Perform database migration/change management
    • Provide expertise in database performance optimization
    • Architect database design in conjunction with development teams for new projects and/or existing projects

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Database Administration
    • 3-6 years' database management/administration experience
    • Experience working with AWS or other cloud service providers
    • Experience with current MySQL version administration on Linux
    • Experience with data normalization and data relationships
    • Experience with GIT
    • Experience with database replication and scaling issues
    • Solid systems administration and automation skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Goal oriented
    • Works well independently and as part of a team

  • Full Stack Developer

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in Software Development
    • 1+ year of work experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML and CSS coding practices
    • An understanding of Object Oriented Programming
    • Experience with web frameworks
    • Linux and version control experience preferred

    • Prepare marketing recaps
    • Assist in the creation of campaigns

    • Business Marketing concentration preferred

  • Photography - Internship

    overview

    The Photography Intern assists with the photography process for e-commerce, retail, and other marketing needs.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for studio and lifestyle photography requests
    • Prepare images for approval
    • Select and arrange for models if needed
    • Scout locations
    • Search for/purchase photo props
    • Determine shot list recommendations
    • Photo editing

    Qualifications

    • Current undergraduate college student eligible for 2016 Academic Year State Work Study
    • At least 1 year of schooling in a photography program or 1 year professional photography training
    • Able to use Adobe Photoshop for photo editing
