    The Database Administrator is responsible for all phases of database administration on all environments, with emphasis on performance troubleshooting, analytical problem solving and business customer support. The Database Administrator works in tandem with our development team to ensure the operational delivery and the scalability of etailz's systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Configure and monitor a variety of MySQL instances
    • Automate routine tasks through scripting and tools
    • Study the database needs of our systems and optimize where needed
    • Re-architect existing databases to improve scalability and structure
    • Work with the development team to troubleshoot and optimize queries and performance bottlenecks
    • Have an expert knowledge of InnoDB internals and tuning
